Special Restaurant Licenses or SFX licenses are issued in Okeechobee County pursuant to SB 65-790, Special Act, to bona fide restaurants that have at least 3, 000 square feet of covered floor space, seating for 150 patrons and no less than 51% of gross revenue derived from the sale of food and non alcoholic beverages. As far as Special Hotel Licenses are concerned, in Okeechobee County these are issued following the Florida Statute 561.20(2)(a)1 to establishments that have no fewer than 80 guestrooms and derive 51% of their gross revenue from rental of rooms.
