Special Licenses
The Florida Statute 561.20(2)(a)4 regulates Special Restaurant Licenses or SFX licenses and states that only establishments that maintain a bona fide restaurant and have 2, 500 square feet of covered floor space and seating for 150 patrons, deriving 51% of their gross revenue from the sale of non alcoholic beverages and food can be issued such a liquor license. The Florida Statute 561.20(2)(a)1 regulates the Special Hotel Licenses and states that only hotels, motels and motor courts with 100 guestrooms or more, deriving at least 51% of their gross revenue from room rental can be issues such a license.
