SFX licenses are also available in Dade County and they are regulated by Florida Statute 561.20(2)(a)4, meaning establishments have to maintain a bona fide restaurant with at least 2, 500 square feet of floor space under permanent cover and seating for 150 patrons. Furthermore, restaurants can not be issued a liquor license unless they derive 51% of their gross revenue from the sale of food and non alcoholic beverages.
The Special Hotel Licenses are issued following the Florida Statute 561.20(2)(a) 1to hotels or motels with at least 100 guestrooms and deriving 51% of their gross revenue from the rental of those rooms.
