Special Restaurant Licenses

Licenses in Hillsborough County are always issued in accordance with the 69-782, Special Act. They are given to any establishment that falls within the conditions below:

The unit must be a genuine restaurant with at least 2,000 sq. feet of permanently covered floor space
The unit must allow the seating of 125 customers or guests
More than 51% of the gross revenue incomes must be obtained from the commercializing of non-alcoholic beverages and edible products.

Special Hotel Licenses

Hillsborough County offers licenses under the legislation of the Florida state and, in particular, the Florida Statute 561.20(2)(a)1. These authorizations are destined to all of the motels, hotels and motor courts that have more than 100 rooms for the guests and also derive the majority of their income, meaning above 51% in gross revenues, from the room renting aspect alone.
