If also selling liquor, a QUOTA license must be obtained. Note: a limited number of QUOTA licenses are issued throughout the state based on county population.
There are several methods to obtain a Florida liquor license, each includes the completion of a license application form obtained from a liquor license broker’s office, such as Liquor License Florida, or an office of the Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco. Your completed application must be submitted to a local ABT licensing office. If you are working with a broker, they will validate and submit the necessary paperwork on your behalf.
As of October 1st, 2016, the cost to be issued a 4COP liquor license in Florida is $910.00 for a half-year, and $1,820.00 for a full-year. This cost is not affected by the classification (QUOTA, HBX, SPXE, etc.) designated by Florida’s Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco, or rather, the location/property-type in which alcohol is being sold.
Half-year vendor’s license to sell beer and wine: $14 – $196, with annual license fees: $28 – $392. To sell liquor in addition to beer and wine, half-year license fees: $234 – $910, with annual fees: $468 – $1820. Fee structure is based upon county-population where the license is registered. The greater the population, the greater the fees.
