Special Licenses
Lake County permits the issue of Special Hotel Licenses and Special Restaurant Licenses, also known as SFX licenses. However, special requirements are applicable in both cases. For special hotel licenses, establishments must have no less than 100 guestrooms and derive no less than 51% of the gross revenue from room rentals. These conditions are following the Florida Statute 561.20(2)(a)1, while special restaurant licenses are regulated by Florida Statute 561.20(2)(a) 4, which states that bona fide restaurants must have at least 2, 500 square feet of floor space, seat no less than 150 patrons and derive at least 51% of their gross revenue from the sale of non alcoholic beverages and food.
