Special Hotel Licenses
Highlands County offers licenses under the legislation of the Florida state and, in particular, the Florida Statute 561.20(2)(a)1. These authorizations are destined to all of the motels, hotels and motor courts that have more than 100 rooms for the guests and also derive the majority of their income, meaning above 51% in gross revenues, from the room renting aspect alone.
